They do seem to get out of control, don’t they? The toys – not the kids! Maybe it’s a project for Tackle It Tuesday!
Is that my house? ha ha, we have the same problem! Happy WW
oh that reminds me of when my children were small. I used to take up half of toys, put them away for a month or two and exchange them out and my kids loved it because they thought they had new toys!

Should this be a tackle-it-tuesday? lol! I know, I’ve got to cull thru Lydia’s toys! It’s ridiculous!
Yep, that looks like my house. I actually went through and pulled out a bunch of stuff she hasn’t played with in a long time – and as soon as she saw them, that’s all she wanted. I do rotate through them, tho.
I don’t know what you are talking about ;). We got 2 wicker trunks frm Target that store (hide) all (most of) that stuff.

Ugh. I am so sick of toys. I wish I had a playroom for them but I don’t. So I basically got a toy chest that doesn’t look like one. It looks like a cute little bench seat for my sunroom. It holds a bunch and then the rest is in their room. Or the basement. Or the garage. Er. They are everywhere.
Toys are evil :-p
I get rid of tons and then suddenly we have tons more! WHERE do they come from?!?! haha
that is a never ending scene in our house. Why, I want to know? Don’t we have better things to do than de-clutter??? The agony!
happy wednesday, elaine!
Haha, Toys R Us threw up in your house!!
Can’t say I’ve never had a space like that…but I did get rid of some stuff right before Christmas…I knew more stuff was coming!
Been there done that lol!!!
Happy WW!
Yes, I have that issue, too. I think my solution is to just buy more storage containers for toys. *sigh*
Yes, we have that issue, too. We do have a playroom; toys are supposed to go there or in their rooms and that’s it. However, the 2 year old is not quite getting the rules yet. Come to think of it, the older two still scatter their stuff everywhere, too.
Our toy area looked like that until yesterday! We donated THREE bags full. Adam cried the whole way. sigh.
But, I kept reminding him that we were giving to kids who didn’t have toys. He didn’t care. Oh well, I tried!
That reminds me too much of my house and our abundance of toys!
Yes we have that same problem, we are actually sorting through them today!
ugh. i think they are breeding at our house just like the laundry is! is that what my life has come to??? toy organization or laundry… which one to tackle first each. and. every. day!
I stopped trying to clean it up. I’m okay with my upstairs looking like Toys R Us puked all over it. Then, one day, I’ll sweep it all up and cart it to Divine Consign where someone else can deal with it.
That looks alot like our house. They only problem is we have 4 kids worth of toys and 2 rooms that they are over taking.
I completely feel your pain. It looks like Toys R Us threw up in our living room and the boys room as well. We are in the process (supposedly) of transforming the upstairs unused room into a play area. The sad part with all of our toys – we have hardly bought any of them . . . our relatives are to blame.
Happy WW!
lol i think that is the way it is at any house with kids!! Mine includedd!
we have that corner
OH, yes, we have (had) a room like that! I recently sorted, purged, and put everything in see through boxes (check my last organizing roundup post if you like). Kids have more than enough toys these days, don’t they!!!
My solution I gave them the whole basement to call their playroom!
Yup, same issue over here. We do a purge every year of crap that doesn’t get played with.
The kids are not so good with it but tough I say…
Hi Elaine
We have two tubs of toys out. We regularly rotate the contents of the toy tubs. Seems to work pretty well, but I sure do wish we had a play room.
Love
Elise
Too funny! Yep, we’ve had that problem, too. Now we have toys spread into 3 rooms (Logan’s room, a few in the living room, and the play room), and I try to go through them often to keep them from piling up…LOL!!
(I see several in there that we have, too!)
Hey, how did you get a picture of my house!
Ha! Life with kids is a messy thing!
Oh man. This looks just like a corner in one of my rooms……and my kids are all grown. The toys are for the grandkids and they don’t play with ALL of them. Someone help me get rid of the toys!
