Why I Hate Dog With a Blog & some beach photos…

*if you have a weak stomach beware of this post. But if you are a mother like me and have dealt with bodily fluids you will probably be fine to read it.  BUT, there are some cool photos at the end so you can just check those out if you want, k?

So I have this child who hates the word BARF.

I gotta admit it’s not exactly my favorite word either.  However, I am not constantly afraid that it is going to happen to me either…

Back last summer, while visiting Austin for my high school reunion, G woke up in the middle of the night with the pukies.  And because my husband happened to be conveniently absent during this trip it was all up to Mommy to clean up.  Gross.

Also, my poor mother’s carpets.  If my middle-of the-night, half asleep memory serves,  he did make it to the toilet the last time, so at least there was that.

Since then the poor little dude is in great fear of up-chucking.  I cannot really blame him, but at this point I really wish I had one of those memory eraser thingys from the movie Men in Black. (also, I think I have talked about those on this blog before, apparently I really think they should be invented) so that I could use it on him so that we could ALL forget that night.  But mostly him.

Earlier in the week, while we were at the beach for a couple of days, I let the kids watch the Disney channel before bed.  There was an episode of Dog With a Blog where part of the story line was about expired milk at one of the kids’ school and how a bunch of the other kids drank it and hurled.

So, guess who in my house has now learned the word “expired” and asks me constantly if the food in our house is on the up and up and not ripe to make him hurl?

Yep, that would be my G.

People, this is freaking annoying.  Today he asked me if the wafflers in the freezer were expired.  Seriously, child?!?!  Are you for real?

He is.

I officially hate the Disney channel.

But I like the beach.

Here are some photos from the ONE hour we enjoyed by the surf with my cousin and her family before a cold front came through that evening.  While we were inside at dinner.  That we were not prepared for. BRRRR!!!

And a quick trip to the aquarium the next day while it was still FREEZING cold out.

These photos are puke-free and not expired.  Promise. 🙂
