So the hubs has gone a travelin’ again. The two weeks with him home was wonderful but all good things must come to an end. At least in this case.
The boys are really starting to miss him more when he’s gone and both of them cried for him tonight.

But before bed the boys and I had a quiet moment in the rocking chair in which I sang them this song. For some reason I memorized it years ago and when Dada is gone is seems quite appropriate. (sidenote: I did not sound like a little mouse when I sang the song… just in case you were wondering).
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone’s thinking of me
And loving me tonight.
Somewhere out there,
Someone’s saying a prayer
That we’ll find one another
In that big somewhere out there.
And even though I know how very far apart we are
It helps to think we might be wishing on the same bright star
And when the night wind starts to sing a lonesome lullaby
It helps to think we’re sleeping underneath the same big sky
Somewhere out there
If love can see us through
Then we’ll be together
Somewhere out there
Out where dreams come true…
I love the song and that photo of the boys is absolutely adorable.
Aw, I bet they miss their Dada. What an appropriate song, I would love to hear you sing it!
Hope he’s back soon and that the time flies between now and then for all of you
Oh my gosh….that is tooo sad! Poor little G! Hope Daddy gets homes soon!
aww
We have certainly been there and I know how you feel!
Hope he’s home soon!
Aw, it’s tough when they travel isn’t it, especially on the kidlets. The hubs is still away but home tomorrow night, and the kids are so excited.
That song always pulls on my heartstrings.. American Tail, right?
That is too sweet. I know that it is hard when the kids miss their Daddy.
You are a fabulous Mama Elaine. Singing them that sweet song is adorable. Hope he returns home to hug all of you soon!
poor little dudes!!
Beautiful boys, and a beautiful song.
You’re such a resourceful mom!
I LOVE that song! Just thinking of the movie makes me want to bawl.
Sorry your boys are having such a tough time.
Awww, they are so darn cute!
Poor little guys, and poor little Mamma, that is tough.
Fivel! Awww I loved that movie. It’s always hard when Daddy’s not home.
Bless their little hearts!
omg honey i totally forgot about that song!! sooo sweet
We always sang that song in my high school swing choir. It always makes me cry.
Hurry home, daddy!!!
What a great song and tradition to have with the boys when daddy is away!
They are so sweet! I know they must miss their Daddy bunches!
oh that is sad. I hope Dadda comes home soon. It is never fun to be without ones Dadda.
That is sweet and sad that they miss him. I have always liked that song and it is very fitting.
Awww! That is just the sweetest. So heartbreakingly pecious. I hope Tim won’t be gone too long this time. And, that’s the perfect song!
my hubby has been traveling a lot lately too…and my 4 girls are not doing well with it. traveling non stop is a very new thing…and honestly, it’s hard for me too. love the video…i remember that from being a kid.
Oh, that is simply adorable E – I’m not brave enough to sing. I hate it when hubby is away, too. It’s very tough on the kids – and your sanity.
my husband’s away for 2 days every week. it gets easier, but then it never does huh? i understand!
Oh, that just broke my heart
I hope Dada gets home soon for all of you…
And I love that song. I remember seeing that movie at the theater when I was a little girl and I vividly remember that song…so sweet!
Believe me – I feel your pain on the missing Daddy thing. My son looks at pictures of his dad and says “Dada” and it just kills me.
But only a few more weeks and my hubby will be back!
Hang in there!
So sweet!
I would have sounded like the mouse trying to hit the high notes.
Your boys are adorable!! Sorry Dada’s out of town….
