A while ago my Mom gave me some old toys out of “my” closet – you know the one that is in her house that is part of the room I grew up in until I was 18… yeah that closet.
The box she gave me while threatening to toss it included my little kitchen toys that I remember playing with a lot as a little girl, pretending to cook up something, probably for her.
So the other day I was out doing some yard work and putzing around the garage when I found the box and when Katie girl saw the contents she freaked out.
“Kitchen!!” she said.
Next thing I knew I had spread a blanket out for her on the lawn in the shade while she played with my toys…
…and it was SO fun to watch! Of course now they are her toys and she has since moved them into her kitchen in her room. And yes, it is just too awesome to see her playing with the same toys I did, so many years ago.
That is SO COOL!! I love the vintage kitchen toys – gorgeous and they’re in good condition too! You should keep it for your future grandchildren
I LOVE that your Mom kept these and that K was over the moon about them. I can imagine the joy. And her hair! So gorgeous.
Great that your mom kept them! I had that little stovetop and loved how the coil got hot (red)!
How cool! I love that she was so excited about them. My mom kept a little ride-on van of mine and Andrew has ridden it before. (It’s still at their house.) it was really fun to see!
Reeally sweet!!!
cute shots. I remember having some of those toys myself.
My mom kept ALL of my toys…some they really should’ve been tossed in 1976. I do love when my kids play with some of my old treasures though. So cute!
I love this SO much! So fun. And the burners still light up! Awesome! (Fisher Price should SO pay you for this post, lol)
so sweet that you mum saved these for you!
How cool that she saved your toys this whole time and that K likes playing with them.
That is so cool that your mom kept all of those toys all of these years. I don’t think my mom has any of that stuff. But of course we moved around a LOT.
I had those same toys growing up. How fun to watch her play with them.
What treasures!!!!!! Love it! (her hair is so beautiful btw)
Oh how sweet!! So glad your mom saved them and then found them again.
Your girl is gorgeous! She looks so cute playing with her new treasures.
Hope you have a great weekend♥
That is so sweet! How wonderful that you have those toys still! Great photos…
Such cute toys, it’s wonderful that she is playing with the same toys you did.
woah, I would pay top dollar for those vintage beauties. Seriously. And yes, so fun watching our kids play with our old toys. Michael’s mom gave me a few “boy” toys for my guys to play with. I guess what comes around really goes around….
Aw, that is totally awesome! I am such a sucker for nostalgia
LOVE that green camera!
That is SO cool!!!
I keep trying to get Jack to play with my Rainbow Bright doll, but he refuses. :-/
