Tuesday’s Tribute – Chocolate (Giveaway!)

I love chocolate.

Y’all have never heard me say that before, have you? Nah. (masking my “shifty” eyes with a Hershey’s wrapper…)

Believe it or not, things were a little “iffy” there for a while between me and “The Big C” at the beginning of this pregnancy. I did not (I can’t believe I’m about to type this) want it AT. ALL. (I KNOW!!!)

But as I already knew, there is a God, and once my first trimester was over, the sweet nectar of the cocoa bean and I became friends again. Although I mysteriously went from a dark chocolate lover back to a milk chocolate girl. And the Easter candy? Well, it never had a chance!

And now, there’s another holiday coming up in which chocolate makes a wonderful gift (but then isn’t there always?)

  4. My grandparents used to send us a box of See’s every Christmas. I love it. I only wish they included a flavor guide. If I win, I am totally ordering a custom chocolate assortment so I know I will like every piece of chocolate in the box.

  6. See’s does giveaways? Oh.my.head. I’ve been a devout See’s consumer for years. It almost killed me to live on the east coast and not have ready access to them. That’s when mail order came in handy. I LOVE their spring time collection box, but for me, really, who cares about the wrapping? I just love the insides. Dark chocolate every time, and nuts and chews are my favorite pre packaged, but I LOVE me a “picked” lb or two. 🙂

  11. I didn’t like chocolate in the first trimester of any of my pregnancies either.

    Chips, however, were AWESOME.

    But as for what I would pick? Probably a pink or purple box so that I could put it in Miss Emily’s room when I was done 🙂

  12. I’d pick out a pound of assorted chocolates, and a petite keepsake box! One for me, one for my MIL (my mother gets migraines from chocolate – I am SO GLAD I didn’t inherit that!)

  30. Yummy yummy springtime truffles is what I would get. I would hide them and lock myself away and eat them when I got stressed. No really my son is allergic, I would have to hide them and make them my guilty pleasure.

  48. The only thing I love more than Kahlua, is chocolate!!!!! I would take the giftcard to the store and buy all the dark chocolate covered caramel items I could afford!
