So Ben has made the transition to his new room (with just a little extra push…). On Friday night Tim and I decided to go full throttle and Tim actually took the mattress out of the crib. He did cry a little while about it, but once we laid in his bed with him for a few minutes and brought all of “guys” (stuffed puppies) over to the new bed, he was ready to go ahead and stay the night. On Saturday morning, after his first night in the new bed, he just wanted to stay in it and play! God bless him!
Once we felt like he was settled, Tim did go ahead and put the crib back together and higher so now it’s ready for an infant again. Ben asked if the baby was going to sleep there now and we said yes and then he said “And then I can have my crib back?” Oh dear… I think he will understand more once his brother arrives.
Also, Ben has been “practicing” already for Easter by doing some mock egg hunting in our living room. Right now he likes to play this game and hide and seek. Here is shot of him with the “eggs” (a.k.a his various faux grocery foods) that he found last night.
Lastly, I did have a doctor’s appointment on Friday and all is going well. I actually lost a pound this time! Don’t worry, I haven’t been trying, trust me! I had to have a shot of RhoGam, since I am a rare blood type and it’s a good chance the baby could have a conflicting blood type to mine. I had to have it with Ben too. Otherwise, all sounds and looks good. Eleven more weeks and counting…
