I love spring so much that I wish I could bottle it up and take it with me everywhere. And since it doesn’t last that long here in our part of the country I mean that even more than you might think. I promise you summer (or at least the heat of it) is JUST around the corner. Luckily we had a LOVELY day for an Easter egg hunt last Sunday…
I made these tasty “bird nests” (crunchy chow mein noodles, peanut butter and chocolate melted together, and jelly beans for “eggs” – recipe HERE) and they were a tad messy. You could possibly call them “finger-lickin’ good”. You know if you wanted to…
Happy Spring!!
So fun! I kind of miss my kids being that little. Now the egg hunts are more like egg fights-to-the-death. lol
I wish spring would hurry up at come to us. But cute photos.
How fun!!! That is one gigantic basket, by the way! I made those chow mein nests once, but I’m thinking it didn’t have peanut butter in them? Who knows…that was like a century ago.
Ahhh spring. Now that’s more like it. My spring pictures look nothing like that. I swear, if we didn’t have family here we would be living down south. I dream of having a spring that my little girl can wear sweet little dresses like that and a spring my boys can go OUTSIDE for an Easter egg hunt. What fun!
Aww – I love your spring. Those birds nests are DARLING! Great shot of your little guy too.
HA! The ladies at church made those birds’ nest for my baby shower a couple of weeks ago. I can imagine that they’re messy to make- they’re messy to eat too, but super yummy!
Great shots- looks like you’re having some lovely warm weather!
I love spring. I love easter. I love egg hunts. You captured it all! By the way, I love that portrait of the little boy with blue eyes. Great work!
I love her dress, it’s so adorable!
It is so hot today. Spring is my favorite season. I wish it would stick around a little bit longer. Like until August.
There’s something about Easter that makes for great photographs. Love these. We’re looking forward to our egg hunt this coming weekend! (and of not eating too much chocolate, of course!)
Easter egg hunts are the best. And those chocolate thingies? Look divine!
I love the flowing dress & I really need to make those haystack birds nests! Yum!
Oh my mom always made those. Now I think I have to! xo
The kids are getting so big- wahhhhhhhhhhh!!!! Miss you, friend.
Oh, so very happy Spring.
I need to make the nests. Pretty sure I’ve had them before with butterscotch, but this sounds much better.
Sweet kiddos!
And I think I like your recipe with the peanut butter! I might try that next time.
