So… Yeah…We’re Really Doing This Thing

Who’s tired of me talking about moving? I know I am.

But, here we go again.

Yesterday was mine and the boys’ last FULL day in Texas. We are hittin’ the road after lunch today.

I went to check on things at the “old” house yesterday (yes, there’s still work being done there) and I cried as I drove away (the boys were hanging out with their uncle at the time). I honestly haven’t cried that much during this whole process but for some reason driving away from the house for the last time really got to me. I guess it just finally hit me that we ARE actually leaving. Kinda like a ton of bricks.

But this was all after I had a wonderful lunch with my friend Teri who I had not seen in a while. It was so lovely to hang out with her and be reminded of what a sweetie she is.

Teri and I met back in 1999 while working together and I was drawn to her bubbly and fun personality. We’ve managed to stay friends all these years even though she left for another job in 2000. But friends like her are SO worth it. She really is one of the sweetest people I know. I miss her already.

Also before my little breakdown I was driving back from our lunch and I decided to take some self pictures in the car of myself (again, no boys with me, oh and also, sitting at LONG red light…). My hair is taking a little getting used to but I think I do really like it and it’s so much cooler and takes much less time to dry.

So here’s me, the day before I become a resident of Louisiana, sportin’ my new ‘do.

I’ll see y’all on the other side of the border…
