She is adorable even if she is pouting about her lose of the paci.
She’s adorable, pouty face and all.
I’ve also dropped the pacifier down to only sleeping. Can I cry with you? We’ve had *that* kind of day too.
Oh my word, she is so full of cuteness!! And be thankful it’s a paci you can take away and not a thumb! :> (I wouldn’t be talking about anything that happens in our house. Naw, really! ;>)
Her pouty look is just so cute!!!
Ah the great pacifier saga. Stay strong!
She is SUCH a cutie!!!
Hope your day is much easier today. For both of you.
Oh that skirt is CUTE
Hang in there. It will get easier.
Hang tough mama!!
But Lord help you the day she comes to you for a car. Ugh, that pout.
Adorable.
XO
Stay strong! You can make it through this! (She’ll be fine. It’s you that has the rough road!)
Aw she’s so precious! I love the look on her face in that one picture where she’s picked something up and looking at it. So cute. I love the lighting in these pictures!
Also, thanks for your comment on my blog. The one picture you said you really liked is one of my favorites, too. I just wish I took it instead of my husband so I could claim the credit. But I suppose I should be thankful for a husband who has an eye for photography!
Poor thing. But, honestly, I think it’s harder on us then them.
We did steps, too. First she could have it in the car and sleep. Then, just sleep, then off it went to the paci fairy! It wasn’t nearly as bad as we thought it was going to be for either girl. Both of them were around 18 months because they couldn’t have it at the next class at school!
Baby steps…
You are so much braver than I am. I’m more like just give him the dang pacifier. Great pictures, I definitely need to get back into You Capture.
Oh she is darling!
Love all those precious expressions.
Now, I’m a Grammy…she won’t take it to school with her!!
I know it’s hard. I’ve done it 5x!!
Bless your heart♥
Hang in there. She is adorable even when pouting.
What a cutie-pie! It’s almost time for my little guy to ditch his during the day, too. I’ll get used to the sad, pouty faces, right??
Hang in there Momma. You’ll thank yourself later. I always find that the longer you wait with these things, the HARDER it gets!
I took away the pacis at 6 mos, before my kids were old enough to notice. And now… I have an almost 2yr old who never takes her thumb out of her mouth. ugh!
So, obviously, no advice here – but your daughter is gorgeous!
Oh gosh. I remember this. It was so hard. And we went cold turkey full time. None at night or during the day. We had two completely sleepless nights and then it was over. I was kinda, sorta glad when Bud didn’t take to it.
Is it terrible that I think the pout-face makes her even cuter?! She is preciousss!
Aw, she’s so cute! Hang in there mama. It will get better.
My Alex was so hooked to her paci- and rather than leave a long explanation here- here is a post I wrote a long time ago about how we got her to give it up
http://www.emmymom2.com/2009/02/mami-fairy.html
I cut the ends off of all our pacifier’s and told my daughter a dog came and bit them off.
Nothing like lying to your kids!
She is too cute! I love that pouty face! I think the 3rd one is my favorite. So sweet!
oh I never had to deal with that – thank heavens – I’m such a softie!!
Poor thing. But you’re doing the right thing. Stay strong. And good luck!
Her pouty face is so cute though. Hold tight, mama.
It’s so tough – but look at her tongue!! Hang in there!
we have a three year old with a paci habit (only in bed) and a 2 year old with a bottle habit (all. damn. day.). they need to be kicked, but UHG… those faces… i can’t bring myself to do it.
This is such a cute series of shots. She’s got some great expressions. And the pain of taking away the pacifier will be over before you know it.
Oh no!!
My youngest has a pacifier, and the night that we decided to take it was crazy. We took them all out of his bed, said goodnight, closed the door, and waited quietly.
And waited.
And waited.
Not. a. sound.
Never.
Ever.
