I’m usually a night-time poster.
But here I am on Tuesday morning with stuff in my head and my kids awake and I’m posting.
Little G is painting in water colors and baby K is scooting backwards across the floor, as she likes to do these days.
I just almost started to cry because I really need want coffee (yes, both those) and we have coffee but nothing REAL to put in it.
I scrounged and found some 7 month old creamer that my Mom brought with her when she came to stay when Baby K was born. It will HAVE to do. Sorry Star*bucks Cafe Verona, I know I insult you. But a SAHM’s gotta do what a SAHM’s gotta do.
Anywho, I’m also cleaning all kinds of nooks and cranies that I haven’t paid attention to since before my feet were swollen up like balloons in a while because there’s going to be a big party here this weekend and right now I’m acting all relaxed about it. For NOW. Come Friday, I’m gonna be a mess. Just so you know.
I plan to make something akin to these for Little G’s third birthday party (oh THREE, please be good to me this time…)
Tim is also planning some MAJOR barbeque (I’m talking HOURS of research and a new ‘smoker’ pit, Oh My) and it looks like the weather forecast is good to go for the outdoor water play I’m planning for the kids. So, it should be great party.
Now excuse me while I go finish my “to do” list and try not to stress TOO MUCH over a THREE year old’s birthday party.
P.S. That last part, not gonna happen.
Oooooo! Those ice cream cone cupcakes look SO GOOD! YUM!
Listen, kids have a great time on their birthdays if there are presents and cake. I’m sure he will have a fabulous time. Don’t stress too much. Keep it simple. Too late, right?
I feel your pain with the coffee. Last week we ran out of real cream, like at Dunkin Donuts and I’ve been using 2% milk in mine since. Not satisfying at all
Stop stressing, G’s 3, all he’ll remember is that you love him.
Good luck on the partying. Don’t stress. As long as there’s a few friends and treats it’ll be a success. That’s all they care about, right? Good thing he won’t remember much! Take lots of pictures!
Those cupcakes are seriously cute!
Good luck! I stress when anyone comes over!
I seriously want one of those cake ice cream cones…omg! Yum!
And three?! Ohmygoodness…that just doesn’t seem real to me right now…
And you will LOVE the smoker. Totally reminds me of Texas. Yummy!

I bought some ice cream cones like that to make those cupcake cones for April Fool’s day. I love them- they are so cute. I didn’t get them made but I still want to do it. You will have to post pictures of your finished cupcakes.

I stress even thinking of a party, hence I hardly even plan one..maybe this year I will try!
Love a good birthday party, but I know how much hard work is involved in planning for a little one’s party. Have a great time!! Those little cakes look fab!
Maria @BOREDmommy
Sounds like so much fun! I’m sure everyone will have a good time.
Ha! I hear you. But stressing is half the fun because if you stress just enough, you have the best party.
Mmm, those cupcakes look good!
Girl, birthday parties send me over the edge too. I just want everything to be perfect.
