Is anyone else completely bummed about the fact that there will be no Golden Globe Awards this year? Okay, there will be awards but no show. No red carpet, no fan fair – nothing! I could cry.
I am sitting here as I type, watching Queen Latifa announce the People’s Choice Awards ALL BY HERSELF on a stage ALL BY HERSELF and it’s quite pathectic. Now sure, she is doing a fine job of announcing and she looks lovely, but I want to see more dresses and jewelry and hair than hers. Quite frankly, this stinks.
I heard today that the writers strike might even effect The Oscars. Now, now people, them is fightin’ words. Please, I beg of you, don’t take away THE red carpet extravaganza of the year! That is just plain blasphemy!!
It’s like MY Superbowl and I doubt they will be canceling that (although if Bryant Gumble is announcing I may boycott anyway…).
Next thing you know there will be no new episodes of Grey’s Anatomy and I will really be P.O.ed. What is this world coming to?? Doesn’t anyone consider us “little people” sitting at home needing our celebrity fix? Seriously, the Oscars are really all I get since I do NOT watch any of the junky celebrity shows and I rarley read the magazines either (unless you count the quick perusal at the grocery check out, but I don’t). But no, they don’t care about us, it’s all about them, as usual.
So… my current mood can be labeled as “depressed.” Those darn Hollywood people need to give it up to the writers and settle this thing already. Don’t make me come out there… OOOOH – a chance to go to L.A. and see movie stars? Let’s go!

OMG NOOOOOO….SAY IT ISN’T SO0OOO!
They can’t mess with my Oscars! That is MY night! Hollywood powers-that-be get with it and gives those writers their due and be quick about it! I NEED MY OSCARS!!!!!
I love the Golden Globes, too, so I’m way miffed about that as well.
I’ll go out to L.A. with you and knock some sense into those dang people (and do some star watchin’ with you).
