PhotoStory Friday – Where’s Fall?

November 7, 2008 by Elaine

PhotoStory Friday
Hosted by Cecily and MamaGeek

This is my first time to participate in Photostory Friday. I needed something simple today.
Although it’s not that simple. The season is Fall but our weather and even the grass, doesn’t seem to know that yet. Yes, some of the leaves are changing but as I drove through our neighborhood yesterday, some yards still looked like summer. I hope it decides to show up by Thanksgiving so it can at least seem a little like the right season around here…

Nice to have you here this week. The leaves are lovely.
Fall never seems to hang around long enough, does it? We had summer last week, and winter this week.

Very nice photo, Elaine! You know that I know what you mean about this season taking its time to change around here – ugh! It is very cool tonight – yippie!

    Take care – Kellan

I would take all the summer I could get. Then again, this is Wisconsin. We don’t get a ton of summer weather around here, and the winters last FOREVER!

    Welcome to PSF!

Gotta love Texas for the summers that last forever. We get a blink of fall, a nano-second of winter, a blink of spring and then it’s hot as heck all over again!

Great picture. I’ve actually had a great time taking pictures of the changing leaves myself this week!

Our weather is all wonky around here too…I wish Mother Nature would make up her mind already!!

That said, if the weather WAS doing all it was suppposed to , you would have gotten such a cool shot!!

Glad you participated in PSF with us. I hope you join us again!

You’ll love photostory friday, Elaine – it always generates lots of comment love.

No leaves left on the trees at all here… I guess that’ why we celebrate Thanksgiving in October in Canada – so that we can enjoy the fall colours. Well… it’s one of the reasons, anyway.

PS: Texas for Mexican food? Definitely a MUST ;^)

Our leaves finally hit full color this week but the grass is still green and then it rained and now all the dead leaves are everywhere and we didn’t have time to enjoy them!

I know what you mean. I want to be able to wear a pair of jeans ALL day. Maybe even a long sleeved shirt. That’s not too much to ask for, is it?

This is a Texas autumn to a “T”! Don’t you get a little jealous with all the people that post about the weather changes and the light dust of snow and the reason to light a fireplace? I do… until January, and then I am thankful for the warmer Texas weather.

    Happy Anniversary too!

One of my favorite things about fall is how the leaves change colors…gorgeous!

Still a wonderful photo. But you’re right…where is fall? It’s FINALLY chilly here, today. It’s been in the 70s for the past two weeks. it’s crazy!

The weather is crazy here too. It doesn’t seem right. I’ve had the windows open in the house the last two days. Taking advantage now because I know or at least hope that FALL is coming soon. Or we’ll skip fall and go straight to winter, but oh how I hope not.

I like that picture – although I’m a bit envious your yard still looks like summer. We are VERY into fall here, raking leaves and everything. Not to mention we had snow last week – bleck!
