I’m just gonna dump a bunch of pictures on y’all… That’s cool, right?
While in Texas LAST weekend and during our last bit of time in Dallas, we stopped downtown to visit Klyde Warren Park. Well, that is after we grabbed some Pei Wei for lunch. (Dear Lafayette, please get a Pei Wei already). It was SO tasty.
Anyway, back to the park. p
It’s built over a major freeway that runs right through the middle of Dallas. There are fountains and an area to play ping pong and a big grassy area to picnic or run wild or hula-hoop or whatever. And a restaurant and a kids play area and even a porta-potty trailer that Tim claimed was as nice as a hotel bathroom. (still glad I didn’t have to go in there…).
We enjoyed our lunch outside and some play time while we watched trained dancers giving kids some impromptu lessons on the stage that was in the middle of the park. The fountain right behind it was much more appealing to my kids than the lessons, btw…
It was all lovely and a great place to stretch our legs before our 7 hour car ride back to LA…
You know it’s funny, looking back at these photos sorta makes me miss the big city but then it also makes me glad I can just visit sometimes… Because the traffic (!!!) and HUGE buildings and oh so many people and Starbucks on pretty much EVER corner.
Funny how we change with the changes in our lives, isn’t it?

Photo dumps are my favorite. I think my record was something like 67 photos in one post. Yikes to that!

It’s ok, you can go and dump those gorgeous photos, only if you admit that you totally had a numb ass on the way home. hee hee.
Those long car rides are brutal but oh so worth it.
