Old School Blogging – 5 Favorite Blogs

Do you remember how we used to talk about other blogs we loved a lot, back in the day?  I do.  I even gave this out (and received it as well) to a few friends many moons ago… Ain’t it cute?

I think back fondly on the days when we would spread the love and the word around about friends and writers and people that we connected with in our internet community, which has certainly grown by leaps and bounds in the last few years.  I still find new blogs all the time!

So, Tracy and I are doing it again.  The spreading of the love, that is.  And of course we would LOVE for you to join us!

Here are 5 blogs that I kinda pulled out of the proverbial hat, if you will.  OBVIOUSLY I have MANY, many favorites but these are some that are more recent finds (within the last year or so). Also, I found them through link ups or other established friendships on the internet so that makes them even sweeter, in my opinion.

From Corporate to Domestic

I kinda wish Natalie lived next door to me.  I think she would be a great friend to have in my ‘hood. She has a great smile that makes me smile every time I see it on the sidebar of her blog.  She writes about life as a stay-at-home-mom after leaving the corporate world.  I really like this recent post about being enough as a mother.

Fierce Diva Guide to Life

I just adore the name of Ilene’s blog, first of all.  I know I aspire to be a “fierce diva” myself so then I ask my self “Self, how could you NOT read this”? Exactly.  Her blog is a “must read”.  Ilene is REAL and open about her life after divorce and recently a big move to a different part of the country.  She’s inspiring in many ways (she’s also a yoga diva) and I know that you too will find inspiration from her writing and her outlook on life.

Two Cannoli

I just met Kristin about a year ago and now I get to see her when I head back to Texas to visit family.  She’s one of THE kindest people I know and her writing takes me to another place full of heart and beauty.  I cannot do without her words in my life and it is an awesome bonus that I also know her and call her my friend in real life!  She read this amazing post for the Listen To Your Mother show this year.  It is definitely one of my favorites of hers.

Tamara Camera

Do you need amazing photography inspiration?  Well, I do.  And the cool thing about Tamara’s blog?  It not only contains beautiful photography but also comes with great writing as well.  I am inspired every time I go to her blog in one way or another.  I am SO glad she is willing to share her life, writing and photos online. You can start here to read her “doozy” of a love story.  It’s pretty awesome.

Co Pilot Mom

Kim is another recent find (pretty sure I found her through Greta and Sarah’s #ippp link-up). And once again, I love to read her writing.  Plus, this lady = heart of gold.  She’s also a mom to two boys and her love for them and her hubby and life shines through her words.  This post is an excellent example.  Go ahead, “fly” with her, I promise you’ll enjoy the trip!

Honorary mention goes to Andrea at About 100% for being super funny and easy to relate to. How many people do you know that can make lasagna-making THIS funny?? Also, The Dose of Reality for pretty much the same reasons (well, except for the lasagna part…).  Plus, I love their Pinterest Nightmare posts! Hilarious!

I “tag” any of those mentioned above to share your favorite blogs as well but of course only if you feel inclined. 🙂

Okay, now it’s YOUR turn to share with us which blogs are some of your favorites these days. I know it is hard to choose just a few but I have faith that many of you can do it!  Post about them and link up below. And yes, I realize this will probably lead to me liking even more blogs. Professional hazard I suppose…

p.s. don’t forget to tweet about #OSBlog with me, @elainea and Tracy @sellabitmum!
