Here’s my second attempt at “Not me!” Monday, hosted by MckMama!
I did NOT eat too many mini buttercups from Trader Joe’s. Nope NOT me.
I really did NOT forget where I was and start singing along to a Rihanna song on my iPod too loudly the other day while on the treadmill at the gym and then get a few strange looks.
I was NOT SO VERY excited to run 20 minutes straight during said session on the treadmill.
I did NOT let the kids watch too much t.v. last Monday when it was too cold in Texas to go outside.
I did NOT roller skate at the kid’s birthday party we went to this Saturday and totally feel like a kid again and have tons of fun.
Subsequently, I DID NOT wish for them to play the Hokey Pokey and I was NOT upset when they didn’t. : (
I did NOT clean up the SAME Legos and blocks a bazillion times this week. (oh how I wish that one were true).
I did NOT bake brownies this way and watch The B Man gobble them up with no knowledge of the fact.
I did NOT cave and finally buy one of those milk carton looking things of Goldfish because the kids around here eat SO very many of those little fishies.
I did not laugh like a crazy person while showering with my 4 year old who said, “Mommy, wanna watch my pen!s dance?” (maybe it’s time to shower separately now…)
Yes, that is the last one. : )

No Hokey Pokey???? What kind of skating place was this??? Did they at least play YMCA???
I remember going roller skating WAY back in the day. What I remember most is the last song . . . Home Sweet Home by Motley Crue. Geesh, am I old.
“I did NOT clean up the SAME Legos and blocks a bazillion times this week. (oh how I wish that one were true).” Um, I’d bet our houses look very similar.
I have read some of your posts and would like to revisit.

LOL! These are great! I love them all! The singing on the treadmill thing is priceless! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to do that!
And the comment from your son is hilarious I’m sure he’ll appreciate you sharing that when he gets older! Good thing he did not say that!
Oh MY GOSH!!! B is hysterical!!! Love roller skating…how could they not play the hokey pokey????
oh my … these are hilarious ! I’m going to go check out the rest …

There’s no such thing as eating too many mini-peanut butter cups–so you’re in the clear on that one…
Blessings!
That’s great! I am going to make those brownies today.
Love this! I really need to get in on this one Monday!
The shower ordeal was hilarious!!
I’ve been thinking about buying one of those milk carton containers of Gold Fish. I am glad to see you didn’t give in…hehehe.
I think I might *not* give in too!
oh crap….that is FUNNY about your son
I giggled my way through you list. The shower comment was my favorite. I’ve been wondering when it becomes inappropriate for my son to see me n*ked.
Um. I think I might have to vote “Eewww” on the brownies, but I am laughing hysterically about the shower incident. Ha!
Oh, and you’re very welcome for the traffic last week. Isn’t that cool to not even have to participate?!?
Thanks for the pic of your closet which inspired me very much. My hubby is taking me on a Valentine’s weekend 3 hours away so that we can shop at the Container Store!!!
Seriously…yes…time for separate showers.
And, I’m thinking I’m a bit thankful I don’t have boys right now. I don’t know what I would have done. How do they come up with that stuff?
And, if you need to, you can send those peanut butter cups my way. I WILL NOT eat them all, either!
LMAO at your son’s comment!!
This is fun -I just did my first one!
no he did not say that in the shower!!
sooo funny friend
and the roller skating …sooo fun!! i think you may have just given me an idea for my next date night
That last one made me laugh out loud
Boys and their toys! And I am not talking about no lego…
Too funny.
Did you know that you can use diet root beer too. Put enough in the brownie mix until it is the same consistency as if you would have used oil and egg. They taste delish!
Your four-year-old story? FUNNY!
I love going to skating parties with my kids… I always get out there and skate with them. My 10 year old is easily impressed by my “skills”… lol… but I have to admit, I’m usually in pain the next day.
I finally got on!!! I LOVE this! Too funny, girl!
I did not enjoy this post.
Nope, not me.
Not one little bit.
And I am so glad that none of this happened to you.
I mean…that whole singing in the gym thing would have been so embarassing!
And I am not sure what to say about dancing penis’s!!!
too funny! and my family loves brownies that way too although i rinse mine and fill back up with water before blending them. we also like brownies made with a can of pumpkin.
Awwwww….you’re just a big kid!
They didn’t play the Hokey Pokey??? Does that mean we are OLD??
I was cracking a big smile imagining you at the gym singing to your IPOD.
So the brownies turned out OK, I’m almost tempted to give them a try myself, now! And I hear you on the Goldfish, I should own stock in Goldfish Corp, for sure.
I am with you on the legos sister!! I actually have a pic on my blog of the stinkin mess they make lol (I have since cleaned it up, well hubby did
Great list~
The pen!s dance – it’s the newest trend sweeping the nation. At least our little block of it. Love it!
LOL at the thought of you singing outloud in the gym. I’ve never done that – nope, never.
