One of my favorite lines from the musical “Wicked” is:
“She had a mother, like SO many do…”
Cracks me up every time.
Of course in my case I’m blessed to have SO many wonderful mothers in my life.
My own Mother is pretty amazing.
And then there’s Tim’s mother. Also amazing.
And Tim’s mother’s Mother.
And Tim’s father’s Mother.
As well as my own grandmothers who are angels to me now.
This is my father’s mother, I regret that I do not have a picture of my mother’s mother
AND…
My friends who are mothers. My sisters-in-law, my cousins who are mothers, my aunts, Tim’s aunts…
All of them fabulous and outstanding women in their own right. I’m so proud to have them all in my life.
And of course there are all the mothers I know through blogging. Mothers who are about to have that title for the first time and even mothers who just became a mother for the fifth time. Mothers who’ve had tremendous heartache. Mothers who’ve adopted. Mothers who constantly fight for the rights of their children. Mothers who have (or will have) two boys and a girl, just like me.
We are a pretty amazing lot, all of us.
This weekend I plan to celebrate ALL of the mothers in my life whether in real life or online.

Very sweet post! I’m blessed with a lot of wonderful mothers too! The quote is so funny. I’ve never seen the play, but I’ve watched Kristin Chenoweth perform Popular a few times on youtube!

Thank you so much for celebrating me this weekend! I walked into the nursery and broke into tears Sunday morning, just so full of love for this little girl that I am carrying in my tummy! I love her so much already.
Happy Mothers Day Elaine…you are an amazing example of how to juggle life…even when you don’t realize you are doing it! Hugs friend!
