Packing lunches is one of my morning tasks. I pack in the morning because I like everything to be freshly placed in the kids’ lunchboxes the same day. Also, I just do not really want to do it the night before. By the end of the day, I’m done. But I find a certain pleasure getting up a bit earlier than the kids (okay, not that much pleasure since I am not really a morning person…) and packing them each a lunch. So, since I’m the official lunch-packer I am always looking for useful and reusable products to pack the food inside.
While out shopping one day I came across Russbe reusable “baggies”. The packs I purchased contained two sandwich size bags and two snack size bags. And they are resealable just like the “baggies” we throw out. However, you can put them in the dishwasher and use them over and over again! I feel SO much better about having something to pack things in that do not get tossed in the trash! Honestly, I was kind of bad about it last year. The snack size is great for a serving of pretzels or even cut-up fruit or a couple of cookies. The sandwich size can hold a regular square sandwich or a half a hoagie style.
They also come in such cute styles! See?
What I think I like about them most though, is this:
Each RUSSBE bag has the potential to keep hundreds of disposable bags out of our oceans, cities and landfills while keeping chips, cookies and sandwiches fresh and ready to enjoy!
And okay, this too:
They are also BPA, PVC, latex and phthalates free, making them a safe option for your family.
These bags would also be great for putting in a little “wet wipe” in your kids lunches or even throwing in a diaper bag with some wipes, if need be. They definitely have many uses!
For now, I simply use them in both the boy’s lunches – and LOOK! Name labels fit perfectly on the front. 🙂
I am giving away one set of Russbe reusable baggies! Enter to win below and start using less of those other bags that junk up the earth!
Don’t want to wait? Buy your set of Russbe bags now! 🙂
