All eleven of us (we were missing one) sat around two tables covered in pink, plastic table cloths with our words in print, in front of us.
Pink is ALL around the Julie Rogers’ offices (our cause is so amazing, click the link!), since they love it and it ties in with what the do day in and day out. The whole building is pretty inspiring actually and that is why it was such a great place for our first time as a unit.

We came together for our first rehearsal/read-through for the Listen To Your Mother show that Jennifer and I are co-producing. I know many of you are probably alerted to this already through pictures and updates on Facebook and Twitter, etc. But I still have to take time in this space to give you some of idea of how full my heart felt this past Saturday.
There is A LOT to accomplish to put on a show like this, I will not lie and say it is all sunshine and roses and that I am we are not stressed about certain things.
But in the midst of all we have done and have yet to do to get ready for the show, I am reminded of the wise words of one of Tim’s (previous) co-workers wives. A few months before our wedding (almost 15 years ago) we were at a social gathering together and she told me about some mishaps that happened on her wedding day and then she said to me, “But all that really mattered was that at the end of the day we were married.”
That is kind of how I feel about our show. Despite all the little details to prepare and everything that still needs to fall into place, all that really matters at the end of Sunday, May 4th 2014 is that these stories were told. And they are SUCH great stories. They are funny, sentimental, beautiful and straight from the heart. Each and every one.
And I cannot say enough about how grateful I am to have my “partner in crime” along for this ride with me.
picture by Sean, I may hire her as my assistant at the next wedding I do… 😉
Jennifer is a “get ‘er done” kind of gal and I am truly thankful for that. She has more sense than I do, no doubt, and together we keep each other grounded.
But without the other ten amazing people in our show, this dream would not be coming true. These stories might forever go untold and that would be such a shame! Thankfully, it is not gonna go down that way. No Ma’am (or Sir, hey Howard). That’s right, Listen To Your Mother Southeast, Texas is HAPPENING people, and you better get your tickets* (or at least decide you are coming!)
I am so thankful to Ann Imig for entrusting us with her “Baby” and I am SO incredibly pumped for that first Sunday in May…

This is awesome. And I know that feeling! No matter what happens, only one thing truly matters at the end of it. I actually use that mantra to get myself through jobs, (just gotta take photos), dental appointments (just gotta stay for the end), haircuts (just gotta let her cut all of it and don’t stop her in the middle)
As you can see, I’m an anxious person sometimes.

It is going to be amazing! I am so excited for you and Jennifer!
I love the photo of you and Jennifer here – and that you had a passing cyclist take your group photo. That is awesome. 🙂

That bicyclist got a great shot!
And, it sounds like it’s going to be a great event. There is one here, too, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to swing attending.
