You know, it’s funny. I look back through the photos on my phone and I just have to laugh at the random-ness of my life sometimes. I mean yeah, typical “mom” stuff with pics of my kids, etc. But just like good ole Forest Gump said, “Life IS like a box of chocolates”, especially around here, “you just never know what you’re gonna get!”
On the caption to this one on Instagram, I said something like, “It IS really like a circus around here.” And I was telling the whole truth and nothing but the truth. And yes, SO HELP ME GOD.
Pic of Ben on his first Christmas in a really fancy frame/ornament. Look at those 2 baby teeth!!
His face cracks me up. Kindergarten homework rocks compared to 3rd grade, trust me on this one buddy!
K was smashing open pecans with her rain boots. It was quite entertaining.
We went to the festival of lights for a bit on Friday night. Ben went down a man-made snow slide. Pretty sure that’s the only white stuff we will see here in this neck o’ the woods so hope he enjoyed it!
And then the next day we played soccer in 75-degree weather. Yup.
Y’all. I braved the “T” to the “R” to the “U” on Saturday afternoon. It was cracker jack but I was alone so I didn’t mind waiting (or shopping, that much)
I love this one. Sports car parked in my sweet Christmas village. I wanted to yell “Get off my lawn” but the kids were already asleep so…
LOVE this quote. Plastered on my fridge, possibly forever more.
And then it got cold today. Like BRRRRR. (okay 50’s, but that’s cold for us!) We all bundled up for a walk around the neighborhood. Do you not LOVE that face!?!?
What random-ness is up in your life these days?
I take pictures of the most random things, too. I love the homework concentration and the sports car. It was 30 here today…Brrr!
Love your pictures!
50F and cold? You better not come to Canada in the winter, lol.
Forest Gump is my favourite movie of all times – and especially at this time of the year I get lots of chocolates
Great pics! I love that quote. In fact, I know someone who is in dire need of reading it. She’s got something going on this year and her poor kids are missing out on all of the Christmas fun because of it. This might give her a little light.
Gosh I love this! I have totally random pictures too. Plus I stay home a lot (well, especially the past week) so you’d think I’ll have nothing to take pictures of. Wrong. I took TWO pictures of my laptop screen today. Heh.
This is why I love Instagram…it takes the random moments of our day and captures them with words. We won’t look at them years from now and wonder what was going on when we took it…we will remember every detail.
You always get awesome random shots!

That snow slide looks so very fun — I wish I could take a glide down it. And we have been having some extra warm weather too. I’m in Florida with parents and last night was woken up by a thunderstorm.
I LOVE looking at all the random photos on my phone. Love love love it.
I LOVE the car in your village. That is so stinkin cute. And that last pic. Oh my heavens. Too cute for words!!!
It is more like a zoo around here than a circus. Messy and stinky and filled with wild animals, and this week not as much fun as a circus.
The homework face is quite possibly the most adorable thing I’ve seen in months. SO cute. I love that you take the couple of seconds here and there to snap pics of the random things that make up life. They’re the best.
I love the pecan stomping pic! Your shoes are gorgeo <3
Great pics! Especially loved the circus and homework faces. So adorable!
That quote is just awesome too. Something we all need a reminder of.
Love your pics. The car parked by your village is totally one of my favorites. And yes Instagram makes documenting the little random things so fun!
That homework face – LOVE it. (If it makes you feel better, we got below 40 for the first time here this week, and realized we never bought the 2-year old a winter coat! DOH!!) Great pics – what a fun week!
I follow you on Instagram but somehow I missed that gem of pic with your little guy doing homework. Wow! That is so priceless.
I saw that quote, I think it was in Real Simple and I thought the same thing. It really is true we should be grateful for all our little miracles in life. : )
