It’s a “NEW” Day

So, it’s Monday which normally means back to the weekly grind. This week is a little different however. They are finishing the “NEW” kitchen today and tomorrow starting with the brand “NEW” counter top and sink. On Tuesday they will replace the backsplash and put in a “NEW” range as well. I will have pictures, hopefully Wednesday, of all the stages of the kitchen, including how it looked when we bought the house three and half years ago. Trust me, you want to see that, especially if you need a good laugh that day.

Speaking of “NEW” things, I got some new glasses a couple of weeks ago and I just got around to taking a picture of myself in them. I like them, but they are still taking a little getting used to since they are a very different style than my old ones.

I usually wear contacts but since having a second child I find myself wearing my glasses more and more so I thought I would get some “cooler” ones. Anyway, let me know what you think.

Also, there is a “NEW” baby in the family. Well, ok, technically he’s not related to us by blood, but Chandler & Claudia are like our family so of course their children are too. Christian James was born on April 22 weighing in at a mere 9 lbs. 3 oz. (trust me, this is “mere” compared to his older brother who was a whopping 11 lbs. 6 oz. and yes, you did read that right.)

Isn’t he sweet?! Oh I do love the newborns – they are so sweet and snuggly! I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since mine was this small…

Also “NEW” in this house is my new inspiron 1720 Dell laptop. Yes folks, my early Mother’s Day gift came to me on Friday and I just love it. Although I may have to cut down on bloggin’ time since I am not allowed to keep it out in the open as I did with my old one. Unless of course I want the “Ctrl”, “Page Up” and “Shift” buttons to be pulled off by a certain almost-one-year-old. He’s really good at that. Here she is in all her glory. Oh I do love her so…

That’s all I got for today. Anything “NEW” up with you?
