This weekend was busy. But then most of them are.
I believe we are in the beginning of the phase of our life as a family known as “BUSY”.
It seems like we have at least one birthday party almost every weekend. And at least one soccer game.
There were a couple of times this weekend that I had to remind myself to breathe.
We went to the birthday party on Saturday (yes, we had one) and then on to a local “omelette” festival.
No, I am not kidding.
Unfortunately they don’t make the 5,000 egg omelette until Sunday afternoon so we missed out on that part but we still took in the small town and the craft booths.
I do love the craft booths.
I found a precious handmade Christmas dress for Baby K.
The kids woke up before 6 a.m this morning because “daylight savings” means nothing to them.
I cleaned out the boys’ closet,
the pantry (what ARE those little moth-like bugs that were living in my Uncle Sam cereal AND invading the whole place?! and also, EW),
and my car.
Mail,
crafts from school,
toys,
TRASH.
The small town festival had cool old tractors too.
“Look at this huge tire!!”
As in, “let’s take every toy off the shelf and throw it on the floor and oh also, let’s write on toys with permanent marker” challenging.
And K, well, she’s just a baby but she’s also practically a toddler and classically into EVERYdarnbleepin’THING.
Bye Candy – you gotta GO!!!
We did have a lovely anniversary celebratory dinner, just the TWO of us last night. It was a good and MUCH needed little break from this thing called
Parenthood.
Monday.
(I’m keeping my fingers crossed anyway…)
P.S. I posted at the Sisterhood of The Shrinking Jeans today about South Beach and my weight loss journey. There are before and after shots (we love that stuff, don’t we?) so you just HAVE to go read and see!
