This week I am entering a photo for the photo contest at i heart faces for the first time! The theme this week is “Messy Face” and I adore this picture of Little G on spaghetti night, many months ago.
I’ve entered this photo under the “beginner” category because I consider myself an amateur photographer. And trust me, I am! I mean I still can’t figure out how to get a close-up of a flower without it being blurry. Talk about frustrating! But of course I have done very little studying of my manual so I guess I cannot complain too much, right?
I just love his bright eyes and messy face and hands in this one. I think it fits the bill, don’t you?
Head on over to i heart faces to see many more messy faces like this one!

Hi Elaine
What a perfect photo to enter. Little G’s eyes are gorgeous and he couldn’t look any cuter if he tried.
Wow, what a fabulous turn out for the dinner you organised. It looks like everyone had a blast. The place card Leslie made you is gorgeous.
It is such a wonderful idea to organise a dinner to meet blogging friends. To actually make it happen is brilliant. Good on you.
You may have started something here Elaine, you might begin to see other bloggers follow your lead and also organise events to meet fellow bloggers.
I hope you are keeping well.
Lots of love
Elise

Glad you’re joining in – this is a great picture for it!! Just look at those big ol’ eyes…
Oh, and it’s hard to get nice closeups even with a “good” camera like mine…I don’t have the right lens for macros!!

Cute spaghetti face!

I think I will make spaghetti tonight. Too cute!!!
Controlling My Chaos says
For close-ups that are PERFECT, use your macro setting on your camera. It’s the icon that looks like the little flower. Oh, and you have to be EXTREMELY STILL. That means rest your camera on something and hold your breath. Good luck!
