I finally finished this dress for K Friday before last. I had to call in help to get it done but at least I know my limitations, right? And, it has it’s imperfections (which thankfully you cannot see in this picture from my phone). And I plan to still add some ribbon and perhaps some extra notions of sorts but at this point I’m just happy that it looks wearable.
This past Friday we went to pick our own blueberries with some friends and K and the boys had a great time picking “powder blues” as they now call them. K “found” quite a few green and red ones but that’s okay. I didn’t mind paying for them since she had a good time. Plus, the pancakes at our house have been REALLY good lately.
Now if I could just make fire by scraping two sticks together I could possibly consider myself a real Girl Scout. I do love me some Thin Mints. Does that count?
linking up to WW here.
That is a good feeling though, isn’t it? I love the little dress…and now I am craving blueberry pancakes! ; )
That dress is perfect! Love it!
soooo exciting (or should I say sew exciting….ha ha ha!!) what a cute little dress – I love it!! But just be warned…its addictive….you may soon find yourself up until the wee hours, trying to get to that final stitch….but it’s soooooooooooo much fun!!
She’s so sweet!
I’ve always thought the word “notion” in sewing was kind funny.
Punky’s last Girl Scout craft was gluing glitter to a rock, so I think you’re in.
That dress is adorable! Love the fabric.
That dress is so cute!!! I love it!
Blueberries are a favorite of mine.
And blueberry picking! How fun.

You rocked that dress, so cute!
and loving Thin Mints is as close as I’ll ever get to being a Girl Scout (or Guide as they are called up here in the Great White North – Brownies (ew) for the younger girls).
Hooray! I am about to make my first dress for my baby girl and I am SO excited. I will definitely have to post when I get it finished!
The dress looks great!
I think GS cookies are better than a can of beans warmed up with a fire anyway.
