Do y’all ever get tired of my lists? Sorry if you do, but it’s just who I am. I obviously do NOT get tired of making them so… here we go again! : )
* I went and worked out this morning! Did you read that? WORKED OUT! We finally joined a fitness club and I dropped the boys in the child care and had healthy time to myself! Oh the joy!
* Thank you to these ladies for the Good Mail in the last couple of weeks.
Tina, Kelli, Jody. Here’s a picture of the little personalized/scrapbooky notepad that Tina sent. A girl after my own heart! : )
Now I have to get to the post office to send the things I have packed up. I know, slacker…
* There is a TON of laundry after the trips (Tim to Vegas, us to Austin) and I just have to get started but the motivation is not there. Maybe if I got up for the computer….
* This little birdie charm from Anna was waiting for me when I got home yesterday. Thanks Anna – it’s so cute I cannot wait to wear it! Now if the one-year-old would just stop pulling at my necklaces… Here is the card that Anna painted and the charm.
* Christel posted about the little scrapbook I sent her that she “won” from me during the bloggy giveaway. She even put pictures up of each page so I can remember what it looks like. Thanks Chistel! She also tagged me recently. I promise I will do it soon!
* Portable DVD players in the car for kids to watch might be one of THE best inventions yet.
* Kathryn & Amanda were my only linkers for the little Summer Vacation Carnival – thanks girls. But, after studying the bloggy “pros” and how they do carnivals I realized that I need to give a little more notice and make sure I know how to actually use Mr. Linky first. I will try again, because that is just who I am!
* I know we are all God’s creatures but the tiny black ants that insist on being in my kitchen are about to get annihilated. Sorry dudes.
* Ok, next time I decide to invest in something kid-related I am going to ask you ladies out there in blog land for your 2 cents first. I mean if I had known that most of you abhor Nuby sippy cups I never would have bought 6 of them. So which ones do you use? A couple of you spoke up, but not all…
*How is the 4th of July only like a week away already? Does anyone else feel like this year is flying by?
Alright, gotta go start that laundry….

I actually had to send some of the Nuby’s with straws back!!
We use the Playtex Sipster (think the most generic, yet spill-proof). However, for the straws, I’m not a fan of playtex. If they are open, the straw lids leak. I’m off today to get some of the munchkin (here’s the link: http://www.munchkin.com/products/detail.html?section=devStages&ID=10012&pID=791
I’m going to get them at Sam’s where they are really reasonable. They are a little harder to put together, but I’m sick of milk all over everything. Plus, I hear it’s important for them to start using straws.

I do not like Nuby. Not no how. Glad to see you back. And, congrats on the motivation to work out. I’m just about to quit my gym!

Nuby was our friend for that initial, “let’s try a cup” thing, but I hated it after that. It didn’t take long at all for The Toddler to figure out how to hold the spout down and make stuff pour EVERYWHERE. For the brief time we liked them, it was the tall skinny ones.
Working out? What’s that?

I have a random list post planned for tomorrow, so I don’t mind. ;o)
I am marvelling at 4th of July being a week away to. How the heck?!?!?
All the little goodies are so cute – including the scrapbook you made!
Sippy cups, we use the Playtex insulated ones and Gerber color-changing. but both leak. *sigh*

Playtex Sipsters rock!
I am with you on the Ants! Argh!! I bought some poison, did the trick! But so does Lysol Anti-Bac Kitchen cleaner!! haha!!
You are welcome for the book – hope you find a use for it!
The DVD player…it’s a necessity on roads trips. BEST invention ever!
Great job on the working out! I got Mon & Tues done, let my crampy calves rest today, though.

Yeah, I totally have laundry waiting for me too. Ugh!
I am a list girl too, and so enjoy reading yours. 🙂
LOVE LOVE LOVE Anna little charm. She is so creative.
And I would totally be killing those ants too. I loved your sorry dudes!
PS- some day we will have to talk too! 🙂 Something about being able to actually hear the voice of the person who I “talk” to everyday.

You are so welcome! I am a little embarrassed how long it took me to ship them, but I am so glad it made it!
Now about sippys.
I do love the nuby’s. The tall ones with the soft nipple.
The shorter ones I had leak issues with and sent them back to the manufacturer.
I also like the short playtex ones but the fact that they have the hard plastic nipple meants my kids shy away from them in the evening and want the nuby.
I don’t know if there is a perfect sipper so we have switched to plain old cups for the most part. Now a sippy is a treat.
Not much help I know, I am at a loss myself.

I think I mentioned this to you before, but Nubby was evil this time around for our little guy. The big guy used them a lot longer, but his little brother figure out how to make a huge mess quickly.
We graduated immediately to the Platex Insulated sippy cups that we used with our son when he was older and the little guy loved them. He has been using them for several months (never took bottles). The best part – they are BPA free! We bought a bunch of them at BJ’s with Cars on them. If they leak you know something is wrong, the valve probably popped out and it was not something the kids can do without opening them up.
Good luck finding something that you all like.

Thanks so much for all the comments on my blog!
So you are a list girl … me too! I love them. I enjoyed reading yours. We are thinking of buying a portable DVD player … hubby went on a trip with his brother on Monday and took Tyler (3) with him. My BIL has a portable DVD player and Tyler LOVED it! Didn’t complain once during the 4 hours of driving 😉

portable DVD players ARE the best!! 🙂
I like your lists! I do lists sometimes, too! I believe it provides for minutes of entertainment! 🙂

What an adorable journal!

I’m a list girl too, so it really doesn’t bother me! 😉
Yep. The 4th already. And it always feels like summer is just about over after that. 🙁

Hi Elaine.
Thanks for the mention. Have I told you how much I love the scrapbook? Unfortunately I haven’t had time to add Tay’s kindergarten pictures. As soon as I do, I’ll post it or send you a picture.
