I spend quite a bit of time telling this child to take his finger out of his nose (he always uses the same one…). Sometimes I just ignore it. I see it while he’s getting a diaper change or in the middle of his play time. I frequently see it in the rear view mirror while riding in the car. I’m pretty sure his older brother taught him how to do it. But then, how did HE learn? It’s just universal, isn’t it? (just reassure me and tell me it is!)
One thing I know for sure, “diggin’ for gold” is a pretty common practice amongst the little people around here…
{He’s gonna love me for this one later in life, isn’t he? tee hee!}
oh my son is the same way – it disturbs me!
I never tire of the nose picker pictures.
totally cute
Oh, he IS going to love you for that one, especially if you show it off in a slideshow at a rehearsal dinner before he gets married (or something like that!).
Great shot and blog title!
My latest post: Friday Flashback
That munchkin’s going to come back and wipe boogers on you when he’s old enough!
Lol-so cute…yeah, I think one day you will be in trouble for that one but I would def. be bringing it out in front of his first girlfriend-hahhaaaa!!
My younger daughter is a nose picker too which really surprised me because her big sister wasn’t! I don’t know where she learned it! I probably just tortured her so much with that suction bulb as a baby she started doing it herself in self defense!
Oh man, i was laughing so hard, i had a coughing attack, and then I thought I was going to puke. That was seriously the best laugh I’ve had in a long time!!
That’s cute yet disgusting… lol.. I recently found a picture of my children when my son turned 2 and in the group photo you see my now 16 year old daughter with her finger up her nose… i love the pic, she hates it!!!
My eldest is obsessed with picking his nose. The second his hands aren’t occupied he dives right in.
My brother in law assured me he used to have that habit. I asked when he outgrew it seeking light at the end of the tunnel. He said when he was 11!!!
Only 7 more years for me to endure then.
Did you see my Thousand Word Thursday post? It was VERY similar! Yuck!
That is hilarious! We’ve got a lip picker here. I really don’t know where she got that idea!
oh that is a funny/cute shot!!
neither of my kids are nose pickers…. yet. sprout is only 10months old so he still could be!
It’s universal. At least that’s what I tell myself, but my sweet little girl is one of the biggest nose pickers around!
Emily is a nose-picker too. Sigh.
I think it’s in the genes! How funny!
At least he isn’t shoving things up there… That’s worse! You wouldn’t believe the kids that come into the hospital and have to have items removed.. sometimes by surgery. YIKES!
He’s a cute lil booger picker if I ever saw one! :o)
What a cutie! All kids pick some, right?!?! Baby Jax just found his nose, and when I say “where’s your nose?” he puts his finger UP his nose. So, yep, I’m sure he’ll be a picker too!
CUTE!!! My kids do the same thing, and the baby has even started – oh, man, what am I in for???? It’s hard NOT to snap a picture when they’re doing it
Yep, same here! I think it’s part of a child’s life. Great shot though!!! He’ll love it when he’s older, or else his wife will. lOL!
Yup, same here. Girls and boys!
yup universal! We have seen it round here these last 14 years….. I can’t wait for it to stop!
Why is this always so funny? Everyone (except me, of course) picks their nose, but it’s always so dang funny! Kinda like farting…
It is universal.
Obviously the finger fits — it’s SUPPOSED to be there!
haha oh kids. too cute.
love it!
What is it with little boys picking their nose? And it is your duty, as his mommy, to take pictures of him that will potentially embarass him when he is a teenager. Seriously.
LOL that is the cutest.. totally reminds me of my Little Man today.
~sigh~ totally grossed my 13 year old out.
She(13 year old) came home from sweet and sour chicken and she hands me one and says here you go mom. Well the 3 year old must have wanted to hand me something too, because about 2 seconds later he walks right up next to the 13 year old infront of me and says here mom with out looking I reached out and he is handing me a booger..
As long as he doesn’t eat it. Stinkerbell eats hers and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve chased her through the house and dug them out by shoving a kleenex in her mouth. Gross.
Yes, great isn’t it? I had a student last year who picked her nose constantly . One day, I knelt by her desk and told her she had to stop before I got sick!
So cute and so typical. Yes, everybody sees kids doing it. Who teaches them? Must be the NosePicking Fairy.
Ewwwwww! I so thought my son would stop when he entered K. He didn’t until I emailed the teacher and told her about our “wash hands immediately” intervention plan. That seemed to work well since he doesn’t like to wash his hands!
Let him pick. No biggie.
“You can pick your friends, you can pick your nose but you can’t pick your friends nose.” That is when I would begin to worry. Haha!
i think its like how birds know they are supposed to fly. you are just born knowing
It’s totally universal. I mean – it IS the most efficient way to get crap out of your nose, you know? Works better than a Kleenex, probably. Maybe we’re all the dumb ones!
agh. yep…they love the “nose poop”
just this week james started shoving both pointer fingers up each nostril and then saying momma, momma, momma…when i notice and say YUCK, he laughs really hard! would be very cute if it wasn’t so nasty!
bwahahaha! awesome pic, great profile view! so cute!
So funny! I swear, I get more pics like this than any others these days with my 2-year-old! Finger in nose is like his comfort zone! Bleck!
courtney
hahaha! Definitely a Kodak moment.
HA!! Our boys are just alike!
Oh yeah, they always do that…I think that age is the height of nose picking!
