I complain about the laundry a lot. Sometimes in my head. Sometimes out loud. Sometimes on twitter. Okay fine. A LOT on twitter. Yesterday I tweeted that it was staging a coup (it takes over one and half of my sofas every Monday.)
But as I was folding I started thinking…
I’m so extremely blessed to have 4 wonderful, beautiful people in my life to do laundry FOR.
And as I grabbed each piece out of the basket I recalled that I was recently “tagged” by two lovely ladies to do a list of things that make me happy.
Here are the instructions:
1. Copy the image and display it on your blog.
2. List 10 Things that make you HAPPY! 😀
3. Try to do at least one of them today.
4. Pass on the award to 10 bloggers who brighten your day.
I have more than 1o on any given day, but here are the first ones that came to mind.
1. Rain on Monday that cancels soccer practice on Tuesday. 🙂
2. How cute my baby girl looks with bows and flowers in her hair. 😀
3. Kissing my sweet children and dear husband’s faces. 😀
4. Clean sheets 🙂
5. A delicious cupcake 😀
6. Hubby’s Saturday breakfasts. 🙂
7. The beach vacation we are taking in June. 😀
8. Laundry being done and put away (I had to get it in there…) 🙂
9. Date Nights. 😀
10. When my children listen. 😀
And, I’m passing the Happiness on to these sweet blog friends…

Great idea! It’s so easy to become bogged down in life’s frustrations. Better to focus on the positive!

I agree with you on the laundry thing, I get tired of it too. But then my dryer broke and stuff happened and we didn’t get it fixed for almost a month. Drying stuff on racks is not so fun when you have a baby pooping on things faster than you can wash them. I really appreciated clean clothes after that! I have many things to be thankful for. I also have a sweet baby girl, born Oct 21 2009. I like your blog 🙂

I love your solution to laundry folding. I’ve tried that, too, to think of the precious people in my life who look so terrific in the clothes I’m folding. It doesn’t always motivated me to get going on laundry, but it helps with my attitude once I’m started.

Laundry doesn’t bother me as much as some other chores, but it seems endless! I love your happy list.

I don’t mind DOING laundry…but actually putting it away is a different story!
Thank you for sending some happiness my way! I’ll have to work on my list this weekend. = )
Liz (Loving Mom 2 Boys) says
Oh I LOVE this.
And thank you for linking me…I need to focus on the happy right now!!!
