Now that I (and my van) have mostly recovered from our four-day road trip I can share with you all about it. Traveling with kids can be exhausting, but especially so when you take them to a place where you are “going” pretty much the entire time you are there!
We whisked the kids off to Texas to go to The Great Wolf Lodge, in Grapevine, and joined some friends there.
But before we got there we spent time with both local friends and family AND Tim and I ran together for the very first time (really hope it will be the first of many times!)
So yeah, we were kinda worn out before we even got to the “ho-tel”, as K affectionately likes to call it.
I personally like to call it a cruise ship for kids without the water.
Okay, I might have had some fun too. I do LOVE me a good water slide. 🙂
And Tim and Ben had tons of fun together, playing the game around the hotel called Magiquest. Plus, there was an arcade, ice cream and the kids had their own “bunk room” that looked like a log cabin.
Totally FUN.
All in all in was a whirlwind of a trip but the kids had a blast on what we are deeming our “winter vacation”.
Thank goodness we are home now so I can get some rest…
And no, I was not sponsored to go on this trip or write this post, although it sure would have been nice. 😉

Great pictures, Elaine! You know we went for Christmas, and I completely agree…SO much fun but you need a vacation afterwards! I might still be recovering. Ha!

Wasn’t it such a blast? We missed going this December, but the girls love it…and at least they sleep the whole way home because they don’t sleep in the hotel!
