G’s class had THE cutest performance last Wednesday night.
I know, y’all are still coming off the high of the Q & U Wedding, trust me, I know.
But his teacher truly LOOOOOVES this kind of stuff. As a matter of fact, her kindergarten class is the only one to even do the “operetta”, the “The Little Red Hen”. I had heard it was legendary (you, know, as far as 6-year old performances go) but I had no idea until I was front and center last night while my little “duck” sang his part.
He did SO great. I would show you a video but it’s 20 or so minutes long and well, I’m not even sure when I will actually watch it again but you know, easy to record on the mini iPad, so I did.
Tim leaned over to me at one point and said, “He has a good voice!” And he would know since he has a stellar one himself. I was also very impressed with G’s pitch and tone. (okay, yes, his mother {me} sings too…). And right there I had visions of him playing “Danny” or “Tony” on Broadway. What? I have high aspirations for my kids, yes I do!
The headline could be – “From Duck to Danny” – Brilliant!
This is just like I already have K pegged as a gymnast simply because she loves her class at The Little Gym. I may start calling her “Nadia” or “Mary Lou”.
And B could be a soccer star but he wants to try Karate and give up soccer.
Damn free will. No “Pele” status for him.
Oh well.
Anyway, I got off track here somewhere…
Before we left for G’s performance he told me that we definitely had to make it to his classroom after the show because there was going to be cake at the “gas party.”
*blink. blink*
And I said, “I think you mean ‘CAST party’, buddy. C.A.S.T.”
“Oh yeah, that’s it, the cast party. We HAVE to go, Mommy!”
Dude, I wouldn’t miss it.
