This month Netflix is exploring friendships and highlighting some of the great shows that celebrate friends.
One show that I have been watching this month and yes, I am kind of behind the curve on this one, is Orange is The New Black (a Netflix exclusive series).
One place you definitely need to have friends is prison. (although thankfully I wouldn’t really know…)
I read the book after Jennifer gave it to me (she’s a good friend, by the way….) after Blogher, where she met the real Piper.
So, I was really curious about the series and it’s pretty good so far. Although honestly, Jason Biggs as “Larry” is throwing me off a bit. I cannot seem to get his American Pie character out of my head.
There were a lot of friends in that movie too.
As my “friends in movies” stream of consciousness continues I think about all the John Hughes ’80’s movies I liked then and still do now. Like Pretty in Pink and The Breakfast Club and Sixteen Candles. Oh and who can forget St. Elmo’s Fire. The list goes on…
And if we are going to talk about friendship then we have to talk about Friends. Which will stream on Netflix starting January 1st!
The ultimate episode with Joey and the “Thanksgiving pants” is one of my favorites ever!
I know you can find something that exudes friendship on Netflix this month! There are so many choices (as always).
Other friendship movies and shows streaming on Netflix include:
For the little Kiddos:
The Fox and the Hound 2
For the big kiddos:
My Girl
For the Parents:
How I Met Your Mother
What will you watch this month?

As a member of the Netflix Stream Team I receive products/services for posting once a month. As always, all opinions are my own.
