Fastest party planner in the South!

I imagine Emily Post rolled over in her grave last week when I invited everyone to The B Man’s last-minute birthday party via email and text.  Even I was a tad mortified.  But I knew it was “now or never” on the party and since we were no longer traveling to Austin for the half marathon, I planned a party in three days.

LEAST. STRESSFUL. PLANNED. PARTY. IN. MY LIFE. EVER.

You probably don’t believe me and that’s fine, but it’s true because the stress?  It only lasted for like 48-ish hours versus days and days, so I’m totally right.

I may do it this way every time.

And believe it or not, everyone I so not properly invited was able to make it!  God bless ’em for being so flexible and understanding and free on Friday night! 😀

The kids bowled a little and played games the rest of the time and my almost 8-year old boy won the 500 ticket jackpot!  Oh and there were presents and Angry Birds cupcakes.  What more could a boy want?

They even had bowling shoes in K’s size!

And Little G was determined to win a little “golden chick” out of this machine but sadly he never got his prize.

Oh and I decorated these to look like “Speedy”, which is B’s favorite Angry Bird.  (not sure if that his really “his” name but that is what the boys call him so… I mean do they even have names???)

I say I “decorated” them because I did not bake them.  But I did make them look pretty awesome so I’m talking full credit for that.

It was a great little party for my now eight-year old boy.

And I know this because he told me so.   That just warms a Momma’s heart…

P.S. Please pray for those in Texas affected by today’s tornadoes, including my Mother-in-law and Brother-in-law and several of our friends.  I can hardly believe the pictures and videos I have seen…  But I am so thankful that everyone is okay!!
