This weekend we had the chance to visit with Tim’s Aunt Sherry, her daughter Sally and Sally’s two children, Eli and Evelyn. Sally lives on the East coast and Sherry lives in Oregon, so at least once a year they meet in the middle to visit Tim’s grandparents and mother, here in Texas!
Here are mother and daughter.
After lunch Tim wanted to fly his new kite that he had yet to send up into the sky and let’s just say, it was quite an experience. While Eli and Tim did most of the attempted flying (within the first minute it was stuck in a tree…hmmm…) Ben and Evelyn played on the play ground while my mother-in-law and I hung out with them. Maybe you can see in the background here, it looks like the kite is in the air (being manned by both Tim and Eli) while Ben and Evelyn make their way back to the playground. Unfortuntealy, it wasn’t in the air very much!Eli and Tim are now on their way to go get in the car b/c the string broke for the second time and kite landed somewhere across the street from the park!Eli and Evelyn are both beautiful children and very intelligent too! He and Ben were having a great conversation in the backseat on the way to the park.
Evelyn had a minute of fun in the tire swing. I used to LOVE the tire swing when I was a kid… Ah… memories. Anyway, we had a nice afternoon with the family and even though the kite didn’t get much air time Eli had a lot of fun trying to get it up and helping Tim retreive it! So, I guess the outing was a success after all.
