I was feeling a tad “Scrooge-ish” last week.  Don’t know why exactly.  Maybe because my husband was working practically non-stop and my holiday shopping duties were not anywhere NEAR done. Oh and also? I didn’t feel like my mantle was quite done, so to remedy ALL these feelings, I looked to retail therapy.

I’m here to testify, it WORKS, people!!

I feel better already.

And my mantle looks pretty darn good, I think.

(p.s. my MIL made all of our stockings – so special, she Rocks!)

Also presents were purchased and I am now close to done. Phew!

Thankfully, my husband comes home from his business trip (which he was working so hard to prepare for!) tomorrow and I plan to wear my festive new headband as he walks in the door.

I mean really, HOW AWESOME is that?  I smiled so big when I saw it in the store that I just had to buy it.

It actually may be that this headband alone, chased away the holiday blues.  Seriously!

Plus, I bought a gingerbread house and some Christmas crafty things for the kids and I to do in the next couple of weeks.  I know they will be excited.  And there will be some baking too.  I do love some Christmas yummies.

And I am excited to do the things with the kids too because really, Christmas time is especially for kids.  Filled with  magic and lights and the love and the pressies and the cut-out cookies, all making it worth my while.  All creating memories that will live with us all, as a family, for a long, LONG time.

At least I certainly hope so…

p.s. this also serves as the photo of “my three” for this month.  I’m only a week late. No big deal. 😉
