Yesterday was mine and Tim’s wedding anniversary and we celebrated ALL weekend.
But not our anniversary.
No, instead we had 3 (count ’em) THREE!!! birthday parties, one every day, starting Friday night. I won’t tell you which one had the best cake because that’s just rude. And yes, I ate some cake. And some s’mores at the really cute “camp out” party. If only I’d taken pictures. But in that same vain, I have to say, it was kinda nice to NOT have my camera and just enjoy it, you know?
Anyway, since we are headed to “the city that never sleeps” the week before Christmas we decided to keep the actual anniversary low key and I’d say we accomplished that since we did laundry, attended another b-day party AND someone (who shall remain nameless, that I might be married to) was asleep by 8:30 which used to be 9:30 but whatever…
We are definitely saving ourselves for our trip! He he.
The last time we were in NYC Little G was still actually little and about 5 months old and we only spent one day in the city. I went back through pics and it was fun to see me baby-wearing him but I gotta say, this time around I’m MOST excited NOT to have a child attached to me at all times.
So, have you been to New York City? Are you from there? Do you know someone who is? Where should we eat? What MUST we do? Any and all suggestions will be taken into account and possibly photographed.
And yes, I did take that photo above while we were lost in New Jersey somewhere during that most recent trip. So yeah… we plan to stay on the island this time… 😉
And guess what?!?!
It’s Miss Elaine-ous Monday!
Remember, ANY “miss elaine-ous” post will do, something from your archives or something brand new! 🙂
Do you have a post that meant a lot to you but wasn’t read by as many folks as you’d hoped? Or one that has great pictures and you want more people to see them? Or do you just have one that you really want to share!?
I’ll also choose a random post from those who link up to feature on The Miss Elaine-ous Life Facebook page (please “Like” if you have not already) so even more folks will see a new post every week! Grab the button and link up!

I’ve been to NYC once, but I was on a 6th grade field trip. We went to a lot of museums and had really good pizza. I don’t remember much of anything else. So, I’m absolutely no help to you. Sorry. I have heard that Christmas time is great in New York. Have fun!

I love that you got out from behind the camera- I need to do that more often.
And a campfire birthday party! Eek! And a trip to NYC, an even bigger eek!
(At least I have my priorities right! 🙂 )

I’m so close to NYC, just under a 2 hour drive. I love that city!! If you’re going before Christmas you must go to Rockefeller Center. There is NOTHING like it.

Love New York! I agree with Kimberly Rockefeller Center is a must see. The tree, the skating ring, there is nothing like it! Go see Wicked it was amazing. Find a great restaurant on open table, they have great non-chain restaurants on there. We did that last time and the restaurant was great. Felt like a New Yorker, lol. Sorry for the overly long comment. 🙂

Happy Anniversary!!!! You’re going to have so much fun in NYC. I’ve been there several times, and I love it so much!
You have to go skating at Rockefeller Center. Actually even if you don’t skate, go see it. It’s magical. And naturally, head over to Times Square. It’s so fun!
