My friends and I were talking the other night at our “moms night” about how we do not watch that much t.v. anymore. An by “t.v.” we really mean regular, night time shows. At this point in our lives is just kind of hard to do so. Even if we fill our DVR with things we would like to watch, we simply do not have time to watch it all. Normally in the evenings we are feeding our families, helping with homework or are just too tired to watch several shows.
Instead, one way for me to watch shows is to pick a series and watch it slowly, on Netflix. Recently I decided to start watching “Friday Night Lights”. I really like Kyle Chandler in Bloodline so I figured I would see if this show was good. I know many people liked it when it was on television and being from Texas, I thought the concept of the high school football coach, his family and all the players would be something that I could get into.
I have only watched four episodes so far and some of it is kind of predictable but that has not curtailed my interest in where the story-line is going. West Texas football seems a little more cut-throat than where I grew up in Texas (Austin) but then I was not on that side of things so who knows (my high school football team wasn’t very good {sorry guys…}). But of course there is also the side drama with all of the students that keeps me wanting to watch. What will happen with so-and-so and who will get together with so-and-so (the coach’s daughter…)?
Netflix has so many shows that I am interested in watching or catching up on.
My next one may be Revenge because I watched the series at the beginning but gave it up mid-season last year. Probably because of the time factor I mentioned above. I also would like to watch Parenthood, because SO many friends I know raved about it and cried when it ended in the Spring. Plus I may have to eventually check out Scandal and also Grey’s Anatomy – another one I stopped watching a couple of seasons ago. Of course I heard they killed off McDreamy so part of me is all, “why watch then?”
What show would you like to watch or catch up on on Netflix?

I loved all three of those shows! Revenge (well, liked, didn’t love) I wanted the old-fashioned way. Parenthood I loved and also watched the old-fashioned way. FNL was a netflix addiction for me. I wrote about that for Club Mid earlier in the summer. 🙂

Oh! And of course Orange is the New Black. And then after the OINB, Kimmy Schmidt, and FNL ALL FIVE SEASONS marathon I had to cancel nextflix because I doing nothing else with my time. For real–NOTHING!

Netflix is definitely the way that the Husband and I got addicted to Downton Abbey…and I’ve heard a lot of good things about Parenthood. That may have to be my next Netflix binge!
