I never can resist the Dollar Spot at Target. By the time I weave through the 2 aisles I have usually added another $5 or so to my Target tab. They really know how to get you, don’t they?
One day I bought The B Man some “crafty” things from there, including foam letters, pipe cleaners, pom poms and a water color paint set – for a $1. I am sure you can imagine how great those paints were (or were NOT). Anyway, he loved them so much that I thought I would go ahead and by him the real thing, the Crayola water color set that every kid in America (or any country for that matter) should certainly have. Since then he’s been a paintin’ fool AND… I have pictures to prove it!

I think the second one is my best shot. I just love the look of concentration on his face.
So, anyone need some art for their refigerator? Oh I know, I know… you all have tons of our own too.
Have a great Monday everyone and mosey on over to Mother May I for more best shots!
I love his concentration!
What a creative little painter – love the angles you have used to capture these moments.
OH how I wish we had a Target…
Those are great shots (would look fab on a layout, you could even include one of his sweet paintings on the page!) and he looks so cute concentrating on his art!
Very cute!
What a little artist! And so creative!
Yea for the Dollar Spot!
Love it myself. Just popping over from the giveaway to say Hi.
For your daily dose of vintage goodness & a bit of silliness, stop by Confessions of an Apron Queen
Very cute, and very inspirational. I think I’ll get my boys to do some painting this afternoon.
quite the artist.
great shots
Elaine!!! These are fantstic! What great angles on these picures, and I adore his concentration and fine art! You’re not gonna need me for a photoshoot next time – you can do it yourself! These are so great.
And yes, I feel the magnetic pull of the Dollar Spot, too. LOL!
hours of fun! he looks so focused!
great shots! I am so thrilled to be part of the digital age, where we can capture so much more of our children’s lives! I have thousands of pictures on my computer-like 6 thousand!
HOW sweet! What a little artist!
Yes, you have a little artist there! I love the Target Dollar spot also. I have to WILL MYSELF not to look at it when I walk in (well, that and the popcorn that is always so fragrant!)
I totally agree with you, the $ spot at target is too much fun to browse through.
He’s got great artistic talent and is thoroughly enjoying the paints. Great pictures.
I avoid going by those bins, they can add up! But, we love the crayola watercolors and go through lots of those!!! Cute photos, I’ll bet he really enjoyed himself.
Love it – I never get tired of seeing what kids create.
oooooh, good paintings!!
wonderful concentration and what fun pics.
Target has more than one way to get you to run up your tab…I always cringe right before I see the total! LOL!
I agree…that second one is awesome!
I love the way he is so focused on his project. Great buy Mom!
LOVE the dollar spot. Am so mad that right now they have teacher supplies. Why didn’t this thing exist when I taught?
Definitely an artist in the making. Isn’t it wonderful to find something they love that keeps them busy for a while?
Lovely detailed painting there for a 4 year old. Obviously a thoughtful young man
I just LOVE kids’ art — they work so hard at it, and it’s always so creative! He is a GREAT artist!
You have a budding artist there, the love of painting could easily develop into more! Great pictures!
Painting and coloring are so much fun…oh, and play-doh too!!! Those are probably my most favorite activities to do with the kids!
Cute! I love the dollar section too. Funny how fast all of that adds up.
That dollar spot is the best!
Great pics (his and the ones you took!)
I like the second one too. So cute!
Looks like he is really getting into it! Very cute!
That is such a great set of pictures.
So fun that you are doing painting with him. Thinking I need to head out for some paint colors too!
I love the second one too. We need to pull out our paints again, it’s been a while. Fun.
Those are some great shots. He shows real promise and I agree, the concentration in the second one is the best.
The dollar section at Target gets me every time too. I’m always thinking “I’m just going to look quickly” and next thing I know I’ve added 5 or 6 things to my cart.
