Berries, Buds & Babies (okay, kids, but hey, they’re MY babies forever!!)

December 15, 2011 by Elaine

Christmas time in Louisiana can be is always pretty warm.  I think the high temp today was around 76.  Who knows what it will be on actual Christmas Day.  I would guess 65.

The camellias bloom in December and January, making it look almost Spring-like in the dead of winter.

And the ONLY snowmen we find are the lawn ornament kind.

The kids played outside today in the warm temps.

And I of course, brought my camera outside…

could my child’s face BE any dirtier?!?!

I kinda miss mild Christmas seasons. The snow we get up here is ok for a week or two, but a few months of it and I am ready to be done!

It’s been almost 70 here for the past couple days, too! Hoping it cools off a bit…I like to see the fire in the fireplace on Christmas.

And, dirty faces sure are cute.

Great photos! Some days I wish our winters/Christmases were warm. It would probably end up being weird to me since it’s usually at the most 50 degrees out on Christmas, but still. I hate the cold!

Your camellias are so pretty! I keep complaining about how hot it is and then I try to remember that if it was 76 in August I would be thrilled!
