Beachy Keen

August 8, 2008 by Elaine

So yes, the little vacation was wonderful, except perhaps for the late dinner at the Big Fisherman on Saturday night with FIVE kids… oh the memories! But besides that and the fact that I could have stayed a day or two longer, it was a great getaway.

Little G was OBSESSED with the birds and chased them around the beach. Ben liked the water okay but mostly wanted to hang out playing in the sand, which was fine. I woke up early enough to enjoy the sunrise with my mom the first morning and then Little G woke up early enough to see it the next morning with us too! Not that he really cared but hey, it’s a good memory. My nieces and The B Man also loved the pool but for some reason there are absolutely NO pictures of our pool time. See, we’d go to the beach first, shower off in the outdoor shower and then hit the pool next. And the pool was quite fun I have to say.

Also, it was great that we had condos right next to each other because we just kept the doors ajar and walked back and forth as we pleased. Of course one time the B Man was supposed to be going next door and started to head for the beach by himself. Not good. It was actually my mother who was like, “are we sure he went over there?” And she came back with him after the lady who worked in the office found him. So me – not mother of the year again this year. Maybe someday… All in all it was a great trip and I hope we can do it again REALLY soon!

I decided to do a little slide show since there are so many pictures I want to share and following that are just a few of my other favorite pics. Enjoy!

    Hi Elaine

Welcome back. What precious memories you have to cherish from your vacation. “Beauty Full” photos. My little girl was also obsessed (there is no other word for it) with the birds at the beach as well. I spent most of my time chasing her, chasing the birds. It must have been a sight because at the time I was quite pregnant. As you said, one of the good things about taking a toddler to the beach is that you do get the opportunity to watch the sun rise and this is a glorious sight.

It sounds like such a good idea to be part of a team for a weight loss program. Being part of a team and sharing the experience helps with keeping up the motivation.

Your new dining room table is beautiful and I wish you a lifetime of memorable moments and meals with faily and friends around it. What a sweetie your husband is to buy you flowers just because, these surprises are always special.

Elaine, thank you so much for the comments you have left on my blog. I really apreciate them and love hearing from you.

I hope you and your family are having a wonderful weekend.

    Lots of love
    Elise.
