Austinification

The boys and I just got back yesterday from a 5 day trip to Austin and it was Gavin’s first trip. He was introduced to his aunts, uncles and ALL of his Hosek cousins!! We all drove down on Friday and Tim returned alone on Sunday while the little boys and I stayed over. We stayed to attend a retirement party for my high school choir director (sorry I did not get our picture together, mostly for my own sake) who is one of the most inspirational and talented people I have ever known. He served my alma mater, Westwood High, in Austin, for 18 years and it was so good to see him again (can’t believe it’s been 14 years since I was there). I wish him all the best in his future…

Back to the trip to Austin. Thankfully Gavin slept the entire way there on Friday and even when we stopped a couple of times he just kept on snoozing. We had a nice family get together on Saturday night at my parents’ house and here are are few pictures from that day.

Cutie Patootie Daniel!! Such beautiful eyes on this baby boy!

As you can see we had a fun family time and thanks to my parents for having us all in their home and letting the boys and I stay a while. Ben had a ton of fun too, especially after mom and dad’s neighbor, Velvet, brought him a Little Tikes car and gas tank that he could play with out back. There was no fighting off the mosquitoes however, no matter how much repellant we put on him and he’s now one big bite!

Here’s a last picture of Aunt Kelly with Daniel and Gavin – oh so cute!
