BlogHer Swag For YOU!

August 4, 2009 by Elaine

On my way home from BlogHer I was SO grateful that my suitcase has four wheels on the bottom. Do y’all have one of these yet? They are fantastic, especially for a pregnant woman who is almost 30 weeks along and bringing home bottles of detergent and shampoo and well, lots of other stuff.

Yeah, I’m talking about the swag.

And yes, I’m keeping some of the stuff, mostly for my kids. But I also have some things to give away! YAY!

I received a nice Land’s End backpack during the conference and inside was a $10 gift card for the company. I want to pass on the gift card (I’m keeping the back pack for future school use) to one of you lovely readers along with a bag full of surprises that includes some “girly” products and a few items for “greener” living.

Everyone likes surprises, right?

Here are the rules for this giveaway:

1) For your first entry, leave a comment telling me how to get rid of third trimester heartburn about anything baby related. You can leave a tip or advice (I know I have two already but it’s been a while since there’s been a newborn in the house), your favorite girl name, your favorite place on etsy to shop for baby stuff. Anything. Well except for your birth stories, I don’t really need all that in a comment. You know what I mean.

2) For a second entry you can follow my blog or subscribe in a reader. If you already do these just let me know IN A SEPARATE comment.

3) For a third entry follow @elainea on twitter AND tweet about this giveaway. You MUST leave a link to your tweet IN ANOTHER SEPARATE comment.

PLEASE only enter if you did NOT go to BlogHer ’09. If you comment and I know you went then your comment won’t count as an entry.

This is available to U.S. and Canadian residents only (yes, I will send to Canada, aren’t I nice?) ; )

You have until Friday night to enter at which time I will use good ole Random.org to choose a winner.

And PLEASE make sure I have a way to find you so I can contact you if you win.

Good Luck!

elaine

I have followed you for quite awhile and am just getting ready to pick up my blogging again – Its been awhile. My favorite girl names are Abigail, Macy and Brooklyn. My best piece of advice is to relax and follow your momma intuition – not all babies fall into a “category” or a “recipe” – so go with the flow and listen to your intuition! Can’t wait to continue reading more!

I had a gap between my first batch of kids (from marriage 1.0) and my daughter (marriage 2.0) and the best advice I can give you is enjoy the moments with the biggens taking interest in the babe. They are precious and I charish mine. It’s amazing to watching how quickly kids bond with their siblings! … as for the heartburn… I never figured that one out 🙂

Ooh! I have so many girl names that I will never get to use. I’ve had a few miscarriages, but while pregnant I’d already picked out the names I wanted. The girl name would have been Kayleigh Janell. I also love the name Caeliana (kay-lee-on-uh) but most people think I’m nuts. 😉 I liked Iriana (ear-ee-on-uh) too but nobody else did when I was pregnant so it got vetoed. My girls I DO have are Aubry Chaelynn (shay-lynn) and Ashlyn Makenna. If I had another “A” name it would have been Alexa. I’ll stop before I sound overly obsessed with baby names. LOL!

My very favorite place to buy shirts for my kiddo is Tiny Revolutionary (tinyrevolutionary.com) – it’s totally eco-friendly and the shirts are completely relevant. They are pricey, but worth the $$ – plus a portion of each purchase goes to charity.

ooh, fun! i’ll enter… i’d really love to get some fun mail here on the farm. 🙂

    advice…. for girls…. ummm

clothes! DON’T buy everything you think is cute. There is too much out there and you are better off with less. Lay out what you have and make a list of what you need to complete outfits and such. and leave room for those ‘finds’ that you just have to buy. Otherwise you’ll end up with WAY too much and it’s just stressful instead of fun! 🙂

I’m so excited you’re having a girl… you are going to love it!
