The little kids tag along to B’s soccer practice every week and we have to try to find stuff to do while he’s practicing. I decided this time that we would not pass the time with them fighting over who got to play on my phone.
The park and fields are quite big and I knew there was another section that we had never even seen so the three of us went exploring during last week’s practice.
I may or may not have put my camera in the van before we set out that evening, knowing the fall light was lovely…
As I was looking through the photos I took I had to think about how I am so very glad I do cart my camera everywhere. This turned into a pretty fun little impromptu photo shoot with my younger kids and I would have not captured so many of K’s current facial expressions or G’s stellar 5-year old smile if I had not had my “good” camera.
We depend a lot on our phones these days for photos but I still think it cannot compare when put up against a “real” camera.
Of course my super cute kids help too..
(I can say this, they are mine)
I need to cart my camera around more. I’m just starting to get back into the hang of taking pics.
And your kids? Shut. Up. I want to squish their faces.
What a fun opportunity! These are all so sweet! G’s smile is the best! Sometimes I feel silly lugging my big camera around all the time, but having the photos makes it totally worth it.
Yes, yes they are, stinkin’ cute.
So sweet! I love K’s shirt. That is super cute.
I took my big, SLR camera with me to Florida and didn’t use it once. I only used my P&S because it was so convenient. I felt bad that I didn’t take the other one out at all.
Oh wow, yes they are cute, those two little blondies. And K is not looking like a toddler anymore
But she is still adorable so it’s all good!
Great pictures!
I agree about a good camera taking better pictures. Right now I’m in need of a good camera. Mine keeps failing me and I’m grateful to have my phone to fall back on. Love the photo shoot pictures!
This whole post just made me smile.
I will not even try to deny it. They are SUPER cute. What adorable kids you have!
I love the really hard smiles that K makes. Hehe!
She really is super cute. I love that age. Except for the mind blowing tantrums (don’t even tell me that yours don’t have them, I don’t want to know). Other than that it is perfection.
They are soooo cute!
It’s so great to capture those moments! They ARE adorable! Love these positive posts!
Oh, they so are!!
Steph
Yes, yes they are indeed. Absolutely adorable!
You’re right – they are super cute! Looks like they had a lot of fun posing!
Yep…they are super cute. Great idea to throw that camera in the car.
And, K…she’s getting so big. I swear you were just telling us you were pregnant with her.
