There are times when I still wonder what we are doing here. You know, living in this particular town, away from our families and most of the people and things we knew for years.
But then we have a “little” Halloween party (more on that later this week) and I see my kids with their friends and I realize how so very blessed I am to have my friends here too and then I know EXACTLY what we are doing here.
It feels good.
It’s gonna really stink when we leave someday.
I tear up just thinking about it.
But for now, I am just going to soak up every minute I am able to spend with these awesome people, and their children, at this time in my life.
Yep, sure am.
You caught me being “Miss Elaine-ous” again… It’s Miss Elaine-ous Monday!
Remember, ANY “miss elaine-ous” post will do, something from your archives or something brand new!

Lovely, girl! Looks like so much fun and I adore that you dressed up! xo
I love that picture of all you gorgeous ladies. You make an awesome good witch. xo
I love Halloween parties. Kids choose such different costumes. It really gives an idea of their personalities. Love the witch’s hat!
The costumes are adorable!! It’s cute seeing them in action versus standing and smiling
That sounds like a great neighborhood. So nice to have great friends.
What fun! This makes me want to have a Halloween party! I think the Mario Brother costume is my fav, for a little boy!
(Sadly, my boy little wants to be “nothing” or “himself” this year. Party pooper.)
The kids sure look like they’re having fun!
And I love your witch hat!
They sure do look like they’re having fun!
That looks like so much fun! Oh to be a kid again on Halloween!!!
You are so right that you have to have friends. Friends can definitely make or break where you live. Love the pictures of the kids and the variety of costumes.
Now that’s the classiest witches hat I’ve ever seen. Lookin’ good, Mama!
That looks like a fabulous party – but I’m a sucker for multiple batmen!
I love that y’all have made such good friends there. That makes it a lot easier to feel like home.
So happy you have friends where you live since family is far away.
The kids are so cute in their costumes and you are blessed to have so many good friends.
So much fun! I want to come one year.
By the way, I’ll be back for the link up next week–the day just got away from me.
OH I just love these pictures!! We have a Halloween Party every year and I’m so very sad we can’t do it this year due to house issues. Can I live vicariously through yours??
